Other non-ferrous metals
Titanium, Nimonic, Inconel
Nickel superalloys (Nimonic, Inconel) dominate high-temperature blades, while titanium and stainless steels are used in less demanding or low-pressure parts.
Titanium has high strength at low weight, excellent corrosion resistance and high temperature resistance. Due to these properties, it is mainly used in the aerospace, defense, chemical and medical industries. In short, titanium is a strategic non-ferrous metal, ideal where steel is not sufficient due to weight or corrosion resistance.
Nimonic excels in its inferiority to corrosion and oxidation under extreme operating conditions and has stable mechanical properties even after long-term exposure to heat. Nimonic is a premium material for forgings for extreme conditions, typically in aerospace and energy, where conventional steels or alloys are not sufficient. It is die-cast to maintain high structural integrity. Due to its hardness and strength, processing is more demanding, requiring experienced technologies and quality control.
